Founder & CEO
Dr. Gregory L. Smith, MD, MPH, has 30 years of restaurant experience; beginning in 1992, when he helped open a wine bar in Monterey, California. He then became a partner of The Dunwoody Restaurant Group in 1996, which is now the leading pub company in Atlanta, Georgia, with 8 pubs currently. Furthermore, he opened Lucky’s coffee shop in 2011, in Panama City Beach.
In addition to his work in the restaurant industry, Dr. Smith has been in primary care practice for over 25 years. His inspiration for opening up both Leaping Llama Cafes stems from his passion for adding to the community social fabric, as well as bringing epicurean coffee and cuisine to the local St. Petersburg area.
